MICRO-ENGINEERING Micro-engineering refers to the technologies and practice of making three dimensional structures and devices with dimensions in the order of micrometers. There are two constructional technologies of Micro-engineering, Micro-electronics and Micro-machining. Micro-electronics, producing electronic circuitry on silicon chips, is a very well developed technology. Micro-machining is the name for the techniques used to produce the structures and moving parts of microengineering devices. I first time used Finite Element Method to model the etch process in the world. In future, the robots at ant size will be available by using micro-technology.
Three Interested Aspects:-
INTERFACE FRACTURE The electronics industry is one of the most fascinating, dynamic, and important industries. It has literally transformed the world and provides many products that affect our daily lives --- for example, telephones, television, electronic organizers, Personal Computers (PCs), notebook PCs....... One of the key technologies that is helping to make these products possible is electronics packaging and assembly technology. In recent years, numerical analyses have been used extensively to estimate stresses and strains in electronic components. Some research have been done for analyzing the temperature effects on failure of electronics packaging by me. And I published some theoretical results for interface fracture using intergral equations.
BUILDING CONSTRUCTION I concentrate on the modern construction techniques and management.
